
GSI HOSTS SUCCESSFUL TRAINING SEMINAR ON GEMSTONES – TREATMENTS & IDENTIFICATION FOR MUMBAI JEWELERS
Gemological Science International a leading gemological organisation in cooperation with Dagina Association held a seminar on gemstones— treatments and Identification at the heart of Mumbai at Dagina Association Hall on May 16, 2019. The seminar was dedicated solely to the members of the association and by in large for the entire Zaveri Bazaar Jewellers community to foster education and awareness on gemstones. The seminar was attended by 52 Jewellers from different areas of Mumbai.
Seminar included a detailed presentation on treatments and identification for gemstones by Seema Athavale – Chief Gemologist at GSI. Discussions revolved around identifying gemstones whether natural or treated, detailing the different kinds of treatments done on gemstones and various advanced machines used for identification, Ms. Athavale also, spoke extensively on GSI’s Lab services.
“We have an ever-increasing demand for diamond jewelry and this seminar will only help us push more on gemstones jewelry due to the advanced learning we have received from this session,” said Kumar Jain- Vice President Dagina Bazaar Association.
