GSI’s Third Annual Clean Streets Campaign, MUMBAI, April 21, 2014
The Clean Streets campaign that started in 2012, is an anti-littering initiative of GSI’s (Gemological Science International) VP and Bandraite Neeta Shah. Once again the center of the campaign was Turner Road in Bandra. The aim is to make Mumbai’s Turner Road the cleanest street in the area and serve as an example for others. The campaign reached out to jewelry retailers and others in the vicinity. GSI involved the society in the environment cleansing campaign to inculcate a sense of responsibility in individuals to keep the city clean and to encourage them to bin their rubbish.
GSI believes in improving environmental conditions to enhance the quality of life and cultivate pride. The responsible jewelry retailers who lend hands were Anmol Jewellers (Mr. Tushar Shah and Sales Team), Gehna Jewellers (Mr. Sunil Datwani and Sales Team), Charu Jewellers (Mr. Alpesh Desai and Sales Team), Popley (Ms. Niddhi and Sales Team), Deepchaand Sons (Mr. Raju Deepchaand and Sales Team), A. A Motiwala (Mustafa Bhai and Sales Team). GSI appreciates all the help and support offered for the cause.
Neeta Shah urged everyone to be more conscious and thoughtful about their actions. “Events like this help to educate the society and spread awareness about protecting the environment. We’re very proud to have GSI employees volunteered for the campaign” said Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI.
