GSI successfully conducts its First Jewelry Design Workshop at GSI Knowledge Center
Mumbai, 23rd Jan 2017 — GSI conducted a free hand jewelry design workshop at the GSI Knowledge Center in BKC, Mumbai. Mr. Rajan Gondkar, Head Education (GSI) presented inspirational designs for the millennial. The only seminar of its kind was designed to help students to think out of the box and take inspiration from various forms and objects for jewelry designing.
The one-day educational program addressed the topic of freehand sketching. Students demonstrated freehand sketching designs via different stencils and tools and explored flair and inventiveness for designing.
“GSI Knowledge Centre gave us today an enriching experience to learn basic jewelry forms. The best part of this session was I worked at my own pace without feeling a classroom environment. The staff was helpful and I got instructions when I need it. I will be interested in coming next sessions.” said, Rohit Lahoti, student attendee at GSI workshop.
The workshop received a tremendous response in students’ inquiry for the next one to follow.
FreeHand Design workshop II, will be conducted on 5th February from 9:30 AM to 2:30 A. M. at GSI Knowledge Centre, Trade Centre, 601-b, 6th Floor BKC. The workshop is free of cost.
These workshops are a part of the continuing community outreach and a better understanding of designing and getting students interested in full-fledged GSI courses.
